About Cameron
Cameron Hennings is a 28-year-old voice actor, video essayist, and writer based out of Los Angeles.
He began working in the entertainment industry roughly 8 years ago, all of which began from his desire to become a voice actor. At the start of his journey, all that he had in terms of guidance were kind comments and encouragement from his acting teachers across high school and college. No one in his family had any affiliation with the industry, nor had they ever pursued any type of creative career. Basically, he had no idea where to start!
After taking his first voice acting class at a small studio in Burbank, Cameron’s instructor gave him a quest to develop a deeper understanding of the entertainment industry as a whole. The next few years involved coordinating his college class schedule so that he could simultaneously earn his degree and work as a background actor on his off-days. And not only did he graduate from CSUN in 2019 with a BFA in Theatre Arts, but he also had his first co-star credit already under his belt. (Asking for Matt Damon’s autograph in Ford v. Ferrari)
Post-graduation, Cameron was searching for an outlet to channel his creative energy into. He had spent multiple years analyzing and interpreting the meaning of many plays, but while his degree was in theatre, he knew that his true interests lied within animation. He tried his hand at applying the same analytical techniques he had learned both in college and in the various LA acting classes, starting with the series that he loved most as a young child: Rugrats. And as it turned out, people loved what he had to say! Continuing still to this day, Cameron’s video essays are his pride and joy; aiming to challenge himself with each new entry to his catalog.
This passion for animation has affected his personal life as well, sparking a romance with Bethany Ellerbrook in 2022. At the time of their meeting, she was an archivist at Walt Disney Animation Studios, preserving art pieces that are integral to the history of animation. Needless to say, Cameron was smitten. She, too, was not only captivated by both his accomplishments and goals for the future, but also his spot-on impression of Kronk from The Emperor’s New Groove (Yeah, he’s got moves).
Today, Cameron is focused on making waves in the world of voice acting. Finding his strength in both the experience he’s obtained and the support he receives from his friends and loved ones. With hopes to, one day, open an animation studio alongside his partner so that they can provide a safe space for artists to realize their creative potential.
